Please see; (facebook.com/notgrandfathersunion seiu) or (http://fb.meO0G534tc) check out the grievance and subsequent letter of support from SEIU local 1 Chicago that got me immediately terminated from my job of 11 years...
SEIU local 1 allowed corporate power and influence to reverse the outcome of an already decided and documented grievance. If any corporation is able to affect the final outcome of a labor grievance in this way, then collective bargaining is only an illusion.
I hope my union brothers and sisters of the past understand this is not an attack on them or the precept of the union. I believe I am due clarification, I believe we are all due clarification, if for no other reason than ensure it never happens to anyone again.
                                 Please help, and demand answers.

I would like to know what happened to the other $210,000.00 that he stold from the workers.
as this is a prevailing wage job i thought the workers that were exploited were entitled to their back pay by federal law not just $60,000 .
The courts just gave him a license to steal if he does not have to pay the rest back.

David,
Thanks for reading. My suggestion would be to contact the Illinois Labor History Society as they would more likely have access to that type of specific information. Their website is www.illinoislaborhistory.org.

three miles west from downtown Peoria along Kickapoo Creek Road in a now abandoned coal mining area is a box canyon called Rocky Glen. Tom Tippett in 1935 wrote a novel about coal mining called Horseshoe Bottoms that described Rocky Glen as a place where miners would gather in the late 19th century to organize.
On the canyon wall is a three foot long carving of a hand holding a card with six letters on the card. Is this a union card? What do the initials mean? The website www.friendsofrockyglen.org, has pictures of the hand. I appreciate any help you can give us.
Dave Pittman, prez, Friends of Rocky Glen.

I did the one recently near Dallas Apr 1st. It's lots of fun. I got shocked a few times, including one to my shoulder. I tried the quarter pipe, running fast towards. I did not make it as I tumbled down hitting my head on the pipe. I tried again, but was more cautious, since after hitting my head on the pipe, I did not want to seriously injure myself.

Quarter pipe is hard, as I can not see myself getting over.

Tough mudder is fun. I recommend it, but you have to be in shape, so train hard (i.e, running upperbody strength stuff).
